New Beginnings Brings Hope For Boys and Girls of Haiti

Haiti Update February 2011:

In just a few weeks, we're going back to Haiti for a major outreach. Pastor Larry and the team will be preaching for two days to crowds of thousands on the subject of breaking generational curses—the same truths he is sharing with the world this month on television. (click here to watch) And if there's any place on earth where these truths are needed, it's Haiti. The entire nation is gripped by false doctrine and curses that have been on families for many generations. We will also be ministering to hundreds of Haitian Pastors, to train them how to release this revelation upon the members of their churches and in their communities.

We are going during Karnival—the Haitian Mardi Gras celebration. It is a time of wild celebration, much more intense and evil than what we are used to in America. Drunkenness, immorality and fighting abound. As you may know, certain Haitian leaders made a pact with the devil 200 years ago and dedicated their nation to Satan. We’re going into enemy territory! But we are going in complete confidence because God says ‘greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.’ Amen!

We are asking every partner to cover us in prayer for this outreach. Will you join with us in believing for signs, wonders, miracles and the salvation of 10-20,000 souls?

We know the power of the Gospel is greater than the power of evil. We are praying, and we ask you to join with us in prayer, that God will unleash His power in a supernatural way and that we will see great results from this outreach. Would you also pray and ask the Lord about giving a donation to support this missions trip. In addition, the children at the orphanage are doing wonderful. With your help we continue to supply them with nutritious food, clean water, good clothing, medical care and more. Your gifts are making a difference and on behalf of the staff and the children in Haiti we extend our sincerest thanks to you for your spiritual and financial support.

October Haiti Mission Update:

Thanks to all of our friends and partners for your continued support toward this remarkable project. Your prayers for these children and the staff along with your generous financial support are making a huge difference- a literal life and death difference. Praise God for your compassion and faithfulness.

As you can see in these latest photos Tony McCreary and his crew are putting many of the finishing touches on the New Beginnings Dormitory. The children now have electricity, running water, flushing toilets, showers, a washer and dryer, bunk beds, plenty of good food and so much more. These things are easily taken for granted here at home but in Haiti they are ‘luxuries’ beyond the reach of the majority of people. Again thank you for your kindness and “tzedakah” giving.

As God provides we ask you to prayerfully consider sowing a special seed during the holidays so that we can bless every one of these kids with an abundance of Christmas gifts; toys, clothes, candy, etc… Also, we are making plans now to go into Haiti during their Haitian Mardi Gras in March to preach in the national soccer stadium. We will go to break every curse that is blocking the blessing and revelation of God over this nation. It’s time for a new beginning in Haiti! We are calling on all of our partners to lift us up in intercessory prayer to release the power of God and the manifestation of signs, wonders and miracles.

September Haiti Mission Update:

Our God is still…and will always be a God of miracles!!

We’ve finally struck ‘rivers of living water’ with the well we’ve been digging at the orphanage. It’s quite a feat-a miracle- because of the impossible logistics that are involved. So praise God, the children now have a clean, consistent flow of fresh water for drinking and bathing. It really is incredible. As you can see from the photo album on the website we’ve also taking giant steps forward in completing the dormitory. The roof is securely on, the stucco walls are looking good; plumbing, floors, windows and more are all about to be installed as well. What a blessing to these kids and the staff. Soon we will purchase bunk beds, pillows and linens for the rooms and appliances, dishes and utensils for the kitchen and bathroom accessories. With your prayers and financial support we are bringing the most incredible new beginning to these precious people-more than anyone could have imagined just a few months ago. Our sincerest “thanks” to all of our partners for your helping make a dream come true!

2nd Haiti Missions Update:

Pastor Larry and the team returned to Haiti on Sunday, August 22 to review the progress being made on the New Beginnings Boys and Girls Home high in the mountains above Port Au Prince. This return trip to see Pastor Sloan and the precious children in the orphanage was absolutely incredible. Everyone was so excited to see us and to receive the clothes, toys and of course the candy. But what continues to be so amazing is the sequence of miracles God continues to provide as we build this orphanage in an ‘impossible location under impossible circumstances.

Yes excellent progress is being made on the construction of the dormitory and the digging of the fresh water well. But what is hard to explain and hard to imagine is the absolute difficulty it is to get building supplies and equipment up the mountain. But what is impossible for men is never impossible for God. Amen! Before long our children will move into this wonderful new building with separate living and bathroom quarters. They will soon enjoy a constant supply of clean fresh water for drinking and bathing; something we often take for granted. We will continue to provide the basic essentials as well; food, clothing and other supplies for the dormitory. Please let God speak to you about sowing toward this missions effort in the days and weeks to come.

This trip also including an anointed time of ministry at a Pastors Conference in Port Au Prince. Hundreds of Pastors were in attendance to receive a fresh outpouring of power and vision from Pastor Larry. His teaching on breaking generational curses and the revelation of the 7 places Jesus shed His blood was a breakthrough event for this large group of local leaders. If we can change the way the leaders and the people think we can change this…and any nation!

In addition, the team traveled across the border into the Dominican Republic to visit two other potential missions and orphanage sites. Both opportunities have tremendous potential so please keep us in prayer; that we would have the mind of God about how best to expand our missions efforts across the entire island. These people need and deserve a New Beginning!

Our sincerest thanks to all of you, our friends and partners, who have (and continue) to donate to this incredible missions outreach. According to James 1:27, taking care of orphans is a true sign of our religion. Consider it a mitzvah (good deed) of mitzvah’s (good deeds). Check the website for time to time on updates and for the latest pictures of what God is doing through you! We love you and sincerely appreciate your generosity, prayers and faithful partnership.

Haiti Mission Prologue:

Early into the New Year of 2010, Haiti was struck by a catastrophic earthquake of 7.0 on the Richter scale. It would turn Port au Prince and the surrounding areas into rumble. Buildings were shaved off, people were killed, and families separated as 52 aftershocks of 4.5 continued to rock the nation and send any hope for the future crumbling in the devastation.

While relief agencies from around the world struggled to get help to those affected, but their efforts made barely a dent. The needs of the people were massive. Then a small team from the center of the busy Metropolis of Dallas came to bring God’s love, hope, salvation, breaking family curses and the glimpse of a new beginning for the people and the nation of Haiti. This God- send included Pastor Larry, his son Pastor Luke Huch and associates Pastor Jon Wilson and Pastor Scott Sigmen.

When they arrived, they saw people of all ages along the roadside, filling old plastic jars with water that wasn’t drinkable and washing the only other clothes they had with dirty water. They walked through hillsides of tent cities, the only shelter survivors had from the sun and the unpredictable weather of the region. They worked with their partner on the ground Tony McCreary of Tony McCreary Ministries to provide a hot spaghetti meal to lines and lines of people who had seen little substantial food since the massive quake shook Port au Prince. Then the team made a trek up the pot-holed roads to a mountain-top vista, where a solitary building, housed 36 orphans who had lost parents and family in the quake.

Being with those children birthed a vision in the heart of Pastor Larry. Upon returning home, a plan began to build the New Beginnings Boys and Girls Home. It would be a place where those 36 children could live, be fed, clothed, taught and grow up surrounded by the love of God.

Soon there were others that shared the vision as the New Beginnings congregation in the Dallas Metropolis and the E- Church worldwide, contributed to the outreach. Soon there was enough money to feed each child three meals a day, provide brand new clothes and shoes, and start building the dormitory, Still more was coming in to renovate the small kitchen, dig a well and provide quarters for the small support staff ministering there.

Today, the New Beginnings Boys and Girls Home is taking shape. The walls are going up and dormitories that these children will call home will soon be finished. But, there is more work to do to complete this project and fulfill God’s vision to these children. You can still be a part as we continue our commitment to build the New Beginnings Boys and Girls Home and change the lives of 36 children who will never be the same because people in the Metropolis of Dallas and partners of Larry Huch Ministries all around the world, loved them enough to make a difference in their lives.
