Our trip to Haiti this summer was described by Pastor Tiz Huch as one of the most wonderful experiences in 35 years of ministry! Joined for the very first time by daughter Katie and daughter-in-law Jennifer, they fell in love with everyone of the precious kids in our orphanage just outside of Port Au Prince! During this visit we saw the progress being made with the digging of a new well, the work on the new roof for the dining area, the fresh coat of paint through-out the entire facility and most of all the bonding that took place between our team and these amazing kids. We're helping them beat the odds in Haiti!

All of us at DFW New Beginnings feel so blessed to be a part of creating a future for these kids filled with hope, destiny and so much more. With the help of you and all of our partners we are providing food, clean water, a home, beds, education, church and love for these little guys! We can never thank you enough for all of your prayers and ongoing support. Together, we are making a great impact for God!

Our most recent trip to Haiti was another powerful and life-changing experience. We visited the children in our orphanage just west of Port Au Prince and saw once again how our giving is making a difference. By feeding, clothing and sheltering these precious kids we are literally saving them from a life of unimaginable poverty and hopelessness. Then, while ministering some 15,000 local families, church members, leaders and Pastors at the conference God spoke to Pastor Larry to take on the feeding of another 3,000 of these precious Haitian children. It was clear that God wanted us to step-up and save these lives.

For less than a $1 a day you can partner with us to feed these beautiful kids and put an end to their hunger pangs. Quite frankly, unless we act with compassion and kindness these children are simply going to have to eat from garbage on the streets or just go hungry…and we can’t let that happen. Overall we have given our word to provide food and supplies to 4,000 children and also clothing, shelter, medical and educational relief to the children in our two Haitian orphanages and in our Dominican schools. It’s a big commitment to be sure but together we can make it happen. And as we know what we make happen for others God will in turn make happen for us.

Fall 2011

We just returned from Port Au Prince, Haiti with another God-given opportunity to save the lives of 48 orphan children and so much more. These precious kids are in a desperate situation and need divine intervention; so we’re stepping up to provide them with the help they so urgently need. How could we ever say no? Please let God speak to you about sowing into this missions outreach.

Following the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti in January of 2010 a team of ministers led by Pastor Larry Huch traveled to Port au Prince on a humanitarian mission. Amidst the devastation and chaos they arrived to guarantee the delivery of a shipload of food, water, clothing and supplies to thousands of survivors in several of the massive tent cities that sprung up around the city.

During this very first trip Pastor Huch was told of the desperate conditions of 36 orphans who had lost parents and family in the quake. They were living in horrendous conditions in an isolated area in the mountains above the city. From the moment they arrived and saw those precious children, God birthed a vision in the heart of Pastor Larry-the New Beginnings Boys and Girls Home. It would be a dwelling place for orphaned children to live, be fed, clothed, cared for and to grow up surrounded by the love of God.

In the months to follow one miracle after another took place. The partners of Larry Huch Ministries and members of DFW New Beginnings Church responded with an outpouring of love, prayers and financial support. Because of their compassion these children were literally saved from death but also from a life of unimaginable poverty and hopelessness.

Together we built a fully equipped orphanage in an 'impossible location under impossible circumstances.' In the natural the logistics involved in getting vehicles, equipment and supplies into this mountain area was and is absolutely out of the question. But our God is and always will be a God of miracles!!

With the help of many good people the actual construction of living quarters, kitchen and bathrooms and the fresh water well was completed in record time. What should have taken a year or more to finish was completed in just about three months. What a blessing to these kids and the staff. Our sincerest “thanks” to all of our partners for helping make the vision come to pass!

Today in addition to our ongoing support of the orphanage we have become friends with Fishers of Men Ministries and Church in downtown Port Au Prince. This connection has led to a series of Pastors Conferences and City-Wide Church Meetings with Pastor Huch ministering to hundreds of Pastors, Leaders and tens of thousands of Haitian locals.

If there was ever a place on earth for the message of breaking generational curses it's Haiti. The entire nation is gripped by false doctrine and curses that have been on families for many generations. If we can change the way the leaders and the people think we can change this…and any nation!
