Meet the Messiah
When was the last time you really thought about Jesus? Not just the regal, religious image, or the larger than life epic film depiction,
but the Jewish Jesus. That’s right, Jesus was Jewish. He was born to a virgin mother and into a household of the lineage of the House of David.
When he was twelve, his parents found Him sitting among the rabbis of the temple discussing the Torah. Even though He was a carpenter by trade he
did His first miracle while attending a friend’s wedding where he took the cleansing jars full of water and turned them into wine, bringing joy to
all the guests. He was baptized to wash off the limitations of this the natural life in the Jordan by his cousin, John the Baptist and was released
into His eternal purpose. He opened the Book of Isaiah to read the daily Torah portion only to declare His mission to set the captives free.
He attended synagogue and frequently frustrated the religious leaders of His day with His wisdom and revelation.
He lived the life of a Jewish man in a Jewish culture.
Instead of knowing the Jewish Jesus we have learned of another, the Jesus created by Constantine, the first Emperor of the Christian era
that wanted to unite a kingdom more than build a foundation of truth. It was Constantine who removed all Jewish roots for the followers
of Jesus as Messiah. Instead in changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday and introduced Easter and Christmas as pagan compromises.
The foundation of Christianity shifted from a Jewish culture to one rooted in Greek gods and goddesses.
And so, the Jewish roots of the Christian faith have been buried beneath centuries of religious dogma.
Today is a new day and a new beginning for believers around the world as they discover the truth about their relationship with Jesus,
the Messiah and the Jewish roots of their faith.
