Mary and Joseph once lost him in the city of Jerusalem, only to find him studying in the Temple, asking questions of the rabbis, who were astounded by His wisdom, revelation and understanding of the Torah.

As a man, He lived by the Torah. One day He walked into the synagogue and read from the portion of the Torah chosen for that day. It was Isaiah 61. As He read it, He revealed His own destiny. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. His words were fulfilling the prophecies of the coming Messiah.

Throughout every stage of His, death and resurrection He fulfilled the plans and purposes of His Father.
